Tesla Cybertruck 2024: price, range, and specification

The 2024 Tesla Cybertruck looks like it was sent by an alien race, although it is reported to be capable of competing with top-selling pickup trucks. Tesla’s electric truck appears to be pretty tough, with a sharp-edged stainless-steel exterior that is also allegedly bulletproof. For 2024, two trims are set up: a 600-hp dual-motor AWD variant and an 845-hp tri-motor model called Cyberbeast. A single-motor rear-wheel drive Cybertruck is expected to join the battle in 2025. The Cybertruck, according to Tesla, is capable of pulling up to 11,000 pounds and has a driving range of up to 340 miles. When connected to a Tesla Supercharger, the EV truck can allegedly add 128 to 136 miles of range in 15 minutes.

Tesla is expanding its inventory to include one of America’s most popular body styles: pickup trucks. However, it will have to fight with the Ford F-150 Lightning, GMC Hummer EV, and Rivian R1T straight now. Chevy is also introducing an electric Silverado, while the Ram 1500 REV is approaching completion.

What is the price of the Tesla Cybertruck?

Every Tesla Cybertruck model’s estimated purchase price, before tax credits, is currently available on Tesla’s website.

The Tesla Cybertruck estimated starting price is $60,990 for the rear-wheel drive, 250-mile range model (however Tesla’s website says those models will not be available until 2025). That’s approximately $20,000 more than Musk predicted at the Cybertruck’s initial unveiling in 2019.

The all-wheel drive, 340-mile range Cybertruck is expected to cost $79,990 before tax credits, while the “Cyberbeast” 320-mile range model is expected to cost $99,900 before incentives. Both of those higher-end variants will be available in 2024.

The Cybertruck will eventually have three different motor variants. Dual- and tri-motor models with all-wheel drive will be offered at launch, with a rear-wheel drive single-motor vehicle joining the lineup for the 2025 model year.

The 600-hp AWD Cybertruck is said to reach 60 mph in 3.9 ticks and top out at 112 mph. Those looking for maximum performance will like the Cyberbeast, which has three motors producing a total of 845 horses. Tesla claims that this will practically teleport the truck from zero to sixty miles per hour in 2.6 seconds (!) with a top speed of 130 miles per hour. All Cybertrucks have an adjustable air suspension that can be raised or lowered on the fly and has a ground clearance of up to 17 inches. When combined with its 35-degree approach and 28-degree departure angles, the Tesla truck might be a powerful off-road monster.

Payload and towing capability

Payload and towing capability

The 11,000-pound towing capability outperforms Ford’s F-150 Lightning by 1,000 pounds, but you’ll have to pay for all-wheel drive or the high-end “Cyberbeast” variations — the base, rear-wheel drive model has a towing capacity of 7,500 pounds.

In pre-recorded video towing tests on Thursday, the Cybertruck appeared to out-tow an F-350 diesel truck and beat a Porsche 911 in a drag race – while also pulling a 911.

The truck’s payload has been described as 2,500 pounds, although Musk stated during his presentation that “it can tow more than that.”

Battery Life, Range, and Charging

Tesla has not yet confirmed the battery capacities of the Cybertruck. When connected to a Supercharger, the AWD model can add 136 miles in 15 minutes, while the Cyberbeast can add 128 miles in the same timeframe. The driving range of the electric truck varies depending on the number of motors, but Tesla thinks that AWD versions may travel 340 miles each charge, while the Cyberbeast will go 320 miles. With an optional range extender battery pack that fits within the truck’s cargo bed, those figures increase to nearly 440 and 470 miles, respectively. The RWD Cybertruck will have a range of approximately 250 miles when it is released.

Cargo, Interior, and Comfort

Those who thought the Tesla Model 3’s interior was minimalist would have the same impression when they view the Cybertruck’s spartan interior. While many standard features and options are yet to be revealed, the initial pictures show a slab-like dashboard dominated by a single as big touchscreen. The Cybertruck can also seat up to six people and has a cargo bed with a space of 121 cubic feet. It also boasts a clever slide-out tailgate that serves as a ramp for loading four-wheelers and motorcycles.

Steel body

According to the company, the steel body of the Cybertruck is made up of Tesla-designed “stainless steel super alloy.” This super-rigid steel, which Tesla claims is bullet-proof, would shatter a standard stamping machine, which is used to build vehicle hulls. Musk explained why the truck has such an angular form.
